How Borussia Mönchengladbach could line up for the start of the Bundesliga season

Here's Gladbach's predicted line-up for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
New Gladbach coach Marco Rose is expected to line up in the diamond-shaped 4-4-2 formation that he widely used during his tenure at Red Bull Salzburg.

With Gladbach captain Lars Stindl trying to work his way back from a long-term injury and Jonas Hofmann ruled out with a knee injury, Michael Cuisance, Laszlo Benes and Breel Embolo are competing for a spot in the starting eleven.

Stefan Lainer, who has joined Borussia-Park from Salzburg, will start at right-back while another newcomer - Marcus Thuram - is set to play alongside Alassane Pléa up top.

Here's how we believe Gladbach could line up for their first Bundesliga game of the season:

Yann Sommer

Stefan Lainer
Matthias Ginter
Nico Elvedi
Oscar Wendt

Tobias Strobl

Laszlo Benes
Denis Zakaria

Florian Neuhaus

Marcus Thuram
Alassane Pléa
