Report: Kai Havertz has increased his wages at Leverkusen

Kai Havertz reportedly earns more than twice as much as he did before at Bayer Leverkusen.
Kai Havertz has more than doubled his wages at Bayer Leverkusen, according to Sport Bild.

After Leverkusen decided to hold on to Havertz in the summer, the club rewarded the highly-rated youngster for his impressive performances by increasing his yearly salary from around €2 million to more than €5 million, thus making him one of the top earners at the club.

Leverkusen were prepared to offer Havertz an even higher salary if he extended his contract beyond 2022, as per the report, but that wasn't an option for the 20-year-old who is likely to be on the move next summer.

According to Sport Bild, Bayern München, Barcelona and Real Madrid currently have the best chances of acquiring Havertz's services, but he hasn't made a decision on his future yet. The youngster would cost at least €100 million.
