Kovac hopeful Alaba will return for Tottenham clash
Niko Kovac has provided an update on David Alaba's injury.
Bayern München coach Niko Kovac says he hopes David Alaba will recover from injury in time for the German champions' Champions League clash with Tottenham on October 1.
The left-back has missed Bayern's last three games due to a hamstring injury.
"Alaba is making progress. We need to increase the intensity of his running each day before he can rejoin team training. We hope to have him ready for Tottenham," Kovac said after Saturday's 4-0 win over FC Köln.
Alaba has made five appearances for Bayern this season, scoring once.
