Werder want to keep defensive duo

Werder Bremen are planning to keep Theodor Gebre Selassie and Niklas Moisander beyond 2020.
Werder Bremen want Theodor Gebre Selassie and Niklas Moisander to sign contract extensions, says club boss Frank Baumann.

As it stands, both players will be out of contract at the end of the season, but Werder are planning to keep the duo beyond 2020.

"Both players feel very comfortable with us, and we also want to continue with them," Baumann told Bild.

Gebre Selassie, 33, joined Werder back in 2012. Moisander, who was appointed captain of the club ahead of this season, has been playing for 'The Green-Whites' since 2016.
