Dodi Lukebakio opens up on his difficult start at Hertha BSC

Dodi Lukebakio says he needs time to adjust to life at Hertha BSC after an intense summer.
Dodi Lukebakio has reflected on a hectic summer that saw him play for Belgium at the European Under-21 Championship before joining Hertha BSC from Watford for a club-record fee of €20 million.

"It was new for me to play a tournament just after the season. And I couldn't really switch off while being on vacation, because I didn't know exactly where to continue my career. That was stressful, and I couldn't clear my mind," Lukebakio told Kicker and added:

"One month later, I moved to Hertha and joined up with my new teammates with the label of 'he cost 20 million and has to play immediately'".

"I don't decide the prices, and I can't change the development in this respect either," he said of his transfer fee.

Lukebakio, who has started on the bench for Hertha's last three games, has played seven games for the German capital side so far, racking up one goal and two assists.
