Hertha boss Michael Preetz open to signing Marius Wolf permanently

Hertha BSC boss Michael Preetz says the club could imagine keeping Marius Wolf beyond his loan spell.
Hertha BSC are open to signing Borussia Dortmund loanee Marius Wolf on a permanent deal, says the German capital club's sporting director, Michael Preetz.

"We could basically imagine that," Preetz told Kicker.

The 24-year-old, who is on loan at Olympiastadion until the end of the season, has a release clause of €20 million, but it might be possible for Hertha to negotiate the price down.

"We can always talk to each other," Michael Preetz said.

Wolf has scored once and made three assists in seven appearances for Hertha this season. His contract with Dortmund runs until 2023.
