Report: Hertha set to sign Santiago Ascacibar

Hertha BSC are set to make their first January signing.
Hertha BSC have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Santiago Ascacibar from VfB Stuttgart in January.

According to Bild, the defensive midfielder is set to complete a €10 million move to the German capital by signing a contract until 2024.

Hertha have also been heavily linked with Arsenal's Granit Xhaka and remain interested in the Swiss international despite their signing of Ascacibar.

Ascacibar has made 15 appearances for Stuttgart this season, scoring once and making one assist.
