Official: Elvis Rexhbecaj joins Köln from Wolfsburg
Elvis Rexhbecaj has joined FC Köln on loan from Wolfsburg.
FC Köln have completed the signing of Elvis Rexhbecaj on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, the club have announced.
Rexhbecaj has put pen to paper on a loan deal until the summer of 2021.
"Elvis is a strong runner and a disciplined footballer. He can play in various positions in midfield and will improve the quality in this aspect," said FC Köln managing director Horst Heldt in a statement.
Rexhbecaj played 26 games for Wolfsburg last season, but has been limited to just two appearances since Oliver Glasner took over as head coach ahead of the 2019/20 season. He's now hoping for more playing time at FC Köln.
"I absolutely want to play. That’s why I decided on this move. The discussions with FC and the chance to play here and develop in the next year-and-a-half fitted me best," said Elvis Rexhbecaj.
The 22-year-old's contract with Wolfsburg runs until 2023.
