Report: 'It's only a matter of time' before Real Madrid make an offer for Timo Werner

Real Madrid are said to be very interested in RB Leipzig star Timo Werner.
Timo Werner has attracted interest from Real Madrid, who will be looking to bring the RB Leipzig striker to Spain in the summer, according to Sky.

The German media outlet believes 'it's only a matter of time' before Real Madrid will show concrete interest in the 23-year-old and table an offer for him.

Real Madrid are looking for a new striker, who can compete with and relieve the pressure on Karim Benzema, as they are running out of patience with Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz haven't lived up to the expectations at Santiago Bernabeu.

Additionally, Werner is quite versatile and relatively cheap considering his quality. According to reports, the 23-year-old will be available for €60 million in the summer thanks to a release clause.

Werner, who extended his contract with RB Leipzig until 2023 in August, has also been linked with Bayern München and a number of clubs from England.

The German international has been in red-hot form this season, making 25 appearances with 23 goals and 10 assists to his name.
