Fantasy Bundesliga tips: 10 players to consider for Matchday 5

Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 5.

In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Florian Wirtz and Harry Kane.

Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 20%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 5.

Philipp Mwene, Mainz (Defender, 10M, 0%)
After a productive game against Augsburg that saw Mwene provide an assist and score 192 points, the wing-back now has two great fixtures to look forward to with Mainz, who face Heidenheim (H) and St. Pauli (A) next.

Willi Orban, RB Leipzig (Defender, 11M, 1%)
Orban returned from suspension to score a whopping 276 points in Leipzig's 0-0 draw with St. Paul. In his previous match on Matchday 1, he scored an impressive 191 points despite picking up a red card. These figures certainly bode well for the upcoming matches against Augsburg and Heidenheim.

Mitchell Weiser, Werder Bremen (Defender, 13M, 11%)
After Werder's tough game against Bayern Munich, Weiser is back on the Fantasy radar this week. Against an injury-riddled and leaky Hoffenheim side, the wing-back should have a good chance to do well this week, having already picked up 905 points this season.

Nico Schlotterbeck, Dortmund (Defender, 14M, 7%)
Borussia Dortmund will be desperate to bounce back from their embarrassing loss to Stuttgart, and what better place to do so than at home to local rivals Bochum? Schlotterbeck's return last week was disappointing, but he should do much better this week, with BVB expected to dominate Bochum.

Kevin Stöger, Gladbach (Midfielder, 15M, 5%)
Stöger has quickly established himself as a key player in the middle of the park for Gladbach, averaging 246 points per game so far. Last time out, he racked up an impressive 309 points in a 2-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt. With Gladbach now having a favorable run of fixtures, it would be a very reasonable time to pick up the midfielder.

Jae-sung Lee, Mainz (Midfielder, 10M, 1%)
After recovering from a minor injury, Lee is expected to return to the Mainz lineup for the home game against Heidenheim, who have conceded seven goals in their last two games. A tireless worker, Lee is capable of picking up points through duels as well as attacking, and you can keep him for next week when Mainz take on St. Pauli.

Vincenzo Grifo, Freiburg (Midfielder, 12M, 9%)
He has scored a total of 780 points in his last two games, yet Grifo is owned by only 9% at the time of this writing. He and Freiburg are in excellent form and have a great schedule, so what's not to like?

Jonathan Burkardt, Mainz (Striker, 10M, 2%)
As mentioned, Mainz have two great games coming up, and with Burkardt coming off a brace against Augsburg, he is a fine alternative to the usual suspects up front.

Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt (Striker, 11M, 12%)
Marmoush has started the season in scintillating form and is the second most productive striker behind Harry Kane with 1044 total points and an average of 261 points per game. Now he'll be unleashed against a Holstein Kiel side who have conceded 13 goals in their first four games.

Serhou Guirassy, Dortmund (Striker, 19M, 2%)
On a week where Kane and Boniface are facing each other, you might want to look at other options up front. If so, Guirassy is a great alternative in the same price range, with Dortmund playing a leaky Bochum side at home on Friday night.
