Dortmund hoping Haaland will be fit for Augsburg clash
Borussia Dortmund bosses Michael Zorc and Marco Rose provided an injury update on Erling Haaland after yesterday's 1-0 win over Sporting CP.
Borussia Dortmund are hoping to have Erling Haaland back from injury for their Bundesliga clash with Augsburg on Saturday.
The Norwegian star striker has a chance of making his return this weekend after missing Dortmund's last two games due to a muscle injury.
"We have hope for Saturday. It's not out of the question," BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told Sport1 after Tuesday's 1-0 win over Sporting CP in the Champions League.
"But we won't make a decision [on Haaland's availability] until Friday or Saturday."
Dortmund coach Marco Rose also shared his thoughts on Haaland's injury.
"We just want Erling to come back quickly. He has a lump on his thigh, and hopefully it will disappear at some point, so that he can move normally again."
