Matters quickly get more crowded at the Müngersdorf. After selling out their full allotment of 16,500 tickets in round one and drawing crowds of 25,000 in rounds three and round five, 1. FC Köln are the only Bundesliga club to have sold out all of their home matches thus far this season.

The club's ticketing office was, until yesterday, aiming for a crowd of 33,000 against newly promoted side SpVgg Greuther Fürth this Friday. Given the rate at which supporters snatched up the first batch of tickets earlier in the week, however, the club sought approval from the local health authorities to push up to 40,000.

"The 8,000 tickets that initially went on sale Tuesday were sold out in 20 minutes," managing director Alexander Wehrle explained to German footballing magazine Kicker, "That's why we proactively approached the health department in order to obtain an increase in capacity against Fürth."

Wehrle, who had absolutely zero qualms about criticizing the corona-regulations in place at this time last year in Germany, also presides over the first club to implement the stricter, more controversial "2G" regulations for fan re-entry.

Here at Bulinews, we're keeping track of which clubs are using which regulations as part of weekly column on the state of fan re-entry.
