Several top clubs from the Premier League have inquired about Bayern München centre-back Niklas Süle in recent weeks, according to Sport1.

The German media outlet claims that it is 'likely at this point in time' that the 26-year-old will leave the German champions on a free transfer in the summer, when his contract expires.

Apparently, Süle is stalling on a new deal because he has concerns that not all key decision-makers in the club are keen on offering him a new deal.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann, who worked with Süle at Hoffenheim in the past, is unlikely to be one of his critics, though. The 26-year-old has appeared in every game for Bayern so far this season.

A few weeks ago, Der Spiegel revealed that the German international has expressed interest in leaving the Bavarians several times in the past.

"Check the offers from England if anyone wants me there," Süle allegedly texted his agent back in 2018, among other things.

"If someone from the big clubs would take me, let me know. Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, but preferably Man U."
