Reports: Wolfsburg linked with Ricardo Pepi

According to both Germany's main sporting tabloid and local newspaper Wolfsburger Nachrichten, Germany's green company team is interested in acquiring American striker Ricardo Pepi.
FC Dallas attacking phenom Ricardo Pepi has been linked with both Ajax Amsterdam and U.C. Sampdoria Genoa. A move to the Bundesliga may also be in the cards for the 18-year-old mega-talent. The El Paso native came through the North Texas SC academy. Since moving to parent club FC Dallas three seasons ago, he's scored 24 MLS goals.

Pepi is widely regarded as one of the USA's all-time greatest youth prospects. In his first cap with Gregg Berhalter's USMNT senior side, he scored a goal and registered two assists in a World Cup Qualifying match against Honduras during the September international break.

The Texan may feature in Berhalter's starting XI this evening in Austin as the U.S. men's national team's qualifying campaign resumes against Jamaica.

Pepi's current market value is approximately €2.5 million.
