Filip Kostic: 'I've kept my word'

Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic believes he has managed to put his failed move to Lazio behind him.
Filip Kostic was heavily linked with a move from Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer transfer window and even skipped their matchday 3 game against Arminia Bielefeld because he 'wasn't mentally ready to perform'.

Ultimately, however, the winger's move to Lazio didn't happen because the Serie A side weren't prepared to pay his asking price.

And with the transfer drama behind him, Kostic is back to his best for 'Die Adler', having scored two goals and made four assists in his last six games in all competitions.

"I promised the fans that I would come back even stronger and more motivated, regardless of everything, and I've kept my word," said Kostic in an interview with Bild.

"I don't want to look back at what happened in the past. We are looking ahead," added Kostic and went on to thank head coach Oliver Glasner.

"The coach is very committed to his work and a great professional. We talked, he showed understanding for the situation I was in, and I thank him for that."
