With players such as Marco Reus, Kai Havertz and Antonio Rüdiger already ruled out for the upcoming games against Netherlands (October 13) and France (October 16), Germany have been hit by another injury blow.
According to Bild, Bayern München's Leon Goretzka hasn't traveled to Berlin to meet up with the rest of the national team due to thigh problems.
Instead, the midfielder has stayed in München for medical examination. After another examination tomorrow, it will be decided if Goretzka will be able to participate or if he has to withdraw from the squad.
Because of the many injuries, Joachim Löw yesterday decided to call up Juventus midfielder Emre Can.
