Gladbach and Zakaria set for further talks before Christmas
Gladbach and Denis Zakaria are set to resume their talks over a contract extension before Christmas.
Borussia Mönchengladbach remain hopeful of extending Denis Zakaria's contract, which expires at the end of the season, and plans to sit down with the midfielder before Christmas.
"I don't think we have no chance. Of course, we are fully aware that Denis is very much in demand," Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Sport Bild.
"But he also knows what he has in us and how we have supported him in recent months during his injury.
"There will be further talks with him before Christmas. We will try everything to keep him."
Zakaria has scored twice and set up a goal in five Bundesliga games this season.
