Amadou Haidara talks about his role under Jesse Marsch

Amadou Haidara has shared his thoughts on playing in central midfield.
In an interview posted on RB Leipzig's website, Amadou Haidara has opened up on his role under Jesse Marsch.

The 23-year-old featured in defensive and attacking midfield under Julian Nagelsmann, but has been deployed as part of a central midfield pairing since Jesse Marsch took the reins as coach ahead of this season.

"Even if I didn't play there much last season, I still know this position and the tactical aspects of it. I want to play where I can be the most help to the team, because that's important in order to be able to win," said Haidara.

"I always want to improve, in attack as well. I've been able to take advantage of my chances in front of goal so far. I hope it continues like this."

Haidara has scored three goals in 10 games for Leipzig this season.
