Gladbach boss confirms Ginter has been offered a new deal

Gladbach have opened talks with Matthias Ginter over a new contract, confirms sporting director Max Eberl.
Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has revealed that Matthias Ginter has been offered a new deal.

"The talks are underway, and 'Matze' Ginter has been offered a contract extension," Eberl told Sky Germany.

The 27-year-old centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season and recently cast doubt on his Gladbach future, telling Kicker:

"A year ago, I would blindly have extended my contract because the club was and is important to me.

"It's insanely tricky right now. To predict anything now is difficult. It's all open."

Bayern München are among the clubs said to be interested in Ginter, who has played for Gladbach since 2017.
