Hoffenheim hoping to have Baumgartner fit for Hertha

Christoph Baumgartner is in a race against time to be fit for Hoffenheim's Friday night clash with Hertha BSC.
Hoffenheim coach Sebastian Hoeness has expressed hope that Christoph Baumgartner will be fit to feature in the Bundesliga against Hertha BSC tomorrow.

The Austrian international has missed Hoffenheim's last two games in all competitions due to COVID-19, but could make his return if he shows a negative test result.

Meanwhile, Ermin Bicakcic, Marco John and Pavel Kaderabek remain sidelined.

"In terms of personnel, not much has changed compared to the last game," Hoffenheim coach Sebastian Hoeness told reporters at Thursday's pre-match press conference.

"Bicakcic, John and Kaderabek are still out. With 'Baumi', we need to wait on the next test result. If it's negative, he will be available. Then we'll have to see how we fit him in," he added.
