Marsch: "We had the win in our hands"

Jesse Marsch bemoaned RB Leipzig's lack of effectivity in front of goal following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.
RB Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch rued missed chances after Saturday's 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Eintracht Frankfurt, which saw Tuta's injury time goal cancel out Yussuf Poulsen's opener.

"It’s a real shame. We had the win in our hands. But I always had the feeling that we’d get ourselves into trouble if we didn’t get a second goal, and that’s what happened," Marsch told reporters after the final whistle.

"We weren’t clinical enough in front of goal. If we had been, we could have scored four or more today. In attack we’re not focused enough and at the back we make mistakes that are too simple. We’re making it hard for ourselves to be rewarded at the moment, but we have to remain strong and positive. We haven’t lost in six Bundesliga games.

"At the moment, we’re not one of the teams competing for the title, but we’ll stay strong and trust our process."
