FC Köln starlet reveals his favorite position
Jan Thielmann is capable of playing anywhere across the frontline, but prefers the wing position.
In a recent interview with Kicker, FC Köln's Jan Thielmann discussed his preferred position.
"I see myself on the left or right wing. Whether I play a bit more offensively or defensively doesn't matter. That's where I feel most comfortable, although I also feel at home up front or as a number 10," Thielmann said.
The 19-year-old made a promising start to the season, setting up a goal in Köln's opening 3-1 win over Hertha BSC, but was set back by illness after Matchday 2.
"I was in the starting eleven for the first few games, but then I got sick, which set me back a bit," said Thielmann.
"Now I'm back to a good fitness level, so the coach can rely on me. I'm still very happy with my appearances, so it can happily continue like this."
