Sport Bild Report: Hertha target Norwegian fullback on January free

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Fredi Bobic and Hertha BSC currently target Norwegian left-back Fredrik André Bjørkan of FK Bodø/Glimt for a January transfer.
After what was widely regarded to be the worst summer transfer window of any top flight German club, Hertha Sporting CEO Fredi Bobic has public promised that the club will be "more heavily involved in procuring players" come January. One of the many obvious areas where "die Alte Dame" offloaded actors without acquiring replacements is Luca Netz's left fullback role.

Germany's Sport Bild reports that the club have a specific player in mind. Twenty-three-year-old Fredrik André Bjørkan of Norwegian have apparently been scouted at several of his club matches this year. The €1.4 million valued player would actually be available on a free after his club contract expires at the end of the calendar year.

Bjørkan has scored eight goals and also recorded 16 assists in 134 competitive appearances for his hometown club. Thus far this season, Hertha have mostly used Maximilian Mittelstädt and Marvin Plattenhardt in left fullback/wingback roles.
