Rose hopes Bürki will find a club where "he will be in goal"

BVB coach Marco Rose has opened up on Roman Bürki's difficult situation.
Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose says he hopes Roman Bürki will find regular playing time somewhere else.

The 31-year-old used to be Dortmund's number one, but has fallen behind Marwin Hitz and first-choice goalkeeper Gregor Kobel in the pecking order.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Rose praised Bürki for his attitude, saying he hopes the Swiss goalkeeper will be able to find regular playing time elsewhere.

"I have to say that Roman is behaving exceptionally well in his situation. He is there for the team, is ready, trains well. He creates a working atmosphere that is good. If we needed him, he would be there," Rose told reporters and continued:

"I wish him, and I've told him this, that he gets back the role he was made for. That he finds a way for himself sportingly again, where he can be in goal and do what he loves to do; where he is successful. Because I think he has earned that.

"As long as he's part of this club, of course he'll get all the support we can give. He's rarely on the pitch at the moment, but again, the way he's handling this is exceptional."
