The duo are back in full training after injury layoffs, but Leverkusen didn't want to rush them.
"We exercised caution. It was a joint decision not to take any risks," Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane told reporters after the game.
In their next game, 'Die Werkself' take on Celtic in the Europa League on Thursday.
