Freiburg starlet signs new contract

Kevin Schade has signed a new deal with SC Freiburg.
Freiburg youngster Kevin Schade has put pen to paper on a new contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

As customary for Freiburg, the club haven't released any details about the length of the new deal.

"Kevin is an extremely talented player who has made really positive developments. He has a lot of pace and gets in behind, and in the last few months, he has made improvements technically and tactically," said Freiburg chief Jochen Saier.

"Now we need to work together consistently and with intensity to further unlock his potential. We are really looking forward to working together and to the exciting journey that lies ahead."

The 19-year-old winger, who has featured 10 times for Freiburg this season, commented:

"I am young, I want to gain experience and face competition – with Freiburg I'm at the right club to do that. I feel completely comfortable here and that I am in good hands."
