Report: Bayern rejected Dortmund wonderkid Sancho

Reportedly, Bayern München considered Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho when he still played for Manchester City, but ultimately weren't convinced by the winger.
Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho has caught the eye of whole football world with his great performances this season. However, while playing for Manchester City as a youth player, the winger reportedly couldn't convince Bayern München that he was worth signing.

According to Bild, Bayern München took a look at Sancho last year and even asked Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola about him. But as the Bavarians weren't completely convinced by Sancho, they didn't intensify their efforts.

Instead, Sancho ending up joining Dortmund for €7,8 million in the summer of 2017 after the BVB fought off competition from several other clubs.

"We observed Jadon very early when he was a youth player. At the time, there was already great interest from the Premier League, but also from top clubs from other countries," Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild.

Sancho, 18, made his debut for England last week as he was sent on the pitch with 12 minutes left of the UEFA Nations League match against Croatia.
