Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane hails team's progress

Bayer Leverkusen took 'another clear step forward' with their win over Celtic, according to head coach Gerardo Seoane.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane has expressed his satisfaction with his team's progress in recent weeks.

After a dip in form, Leverkusen have won three and drawn one of their last four games going into Sunday's Bundesliga clash with RB Leipzig.

Most recently, Leverkusen beat Celtic 3-2 in the Europa League after turning the game around.

"We've now had four positive results in a row, and against Celtic there was another clear step forward compared to the game against Bochum. The defensive structure was much more compact, and we didn't allow much," Seoane told reporters at the pre-match press conference.

"Going forward, we combined more and created plenty of opportunities. Of course we wish we had been more effective, but the fact that we created so many chances shows that we are moving in a good direction."
