Rose praises Haaland, says Dortmund need to improve to compete with Bayern

In the wake of Saturday's 3-1 win over Wolfsburg, Dortmund coach Marco Rose praised Erling Haaland and looked ahead to next week's top-of-the-table clash with Bayern.
Erling Haaland scored on his return from injury as Borussia Dortmund beat Wolfsburg 3-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, BVB coach Marco Rose had plenty of praise for the Norwegian international, who was subbed on towards the end of the game.

"Erling has made a good impression this week. He gives us a lot of energy when he's there. He's a difference maker that you can't replace in the long run," said Rose.

The whole world will be watching when Dortmund lock horns with familiar foes Bayern München at Signal Iduna Park next week.

While it's currently a close contest the contest between the two sides at the top of the table, Rose knows Dortmund must improve to be able to compete with the German champions over the course of the whole season.

"Everyone is looking forward to 'Der Klassiker'. Overall, we know that we want and need to develop a few things. We have to improve so that we can actually be a real threat to Bayern in the long run.

"When they come to our stadium next week, we want to take the chance and be there, of course."
