Dortmund boss confirms Haaland could leave "under certain conditions"

Michael Zorc has spoken out on Erling Haaland's Borussia Dortmund future.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that Erling Haaland could leave the club next summer if "certain conditions" are met.

"The fact is that he has a contract. But it's also a fact, and this is no secret, that he can leave the club under certain conditions," Zorc explained in an interview with Sport1.

Haaland's contract expires in 2024, but it's been reported that he has a €75 million release clause, which could rise to €90 million with various bonuses. Zorc, however, did not want to confirm this.

"Both Erling and the club are dealing with the issue very professionally. We'll see how things progress," he said.

"There is, despite the pandemic, no economic need to sell him. That is also a fact. We will sit down and see how the talks go."

Haaland scored on his return from injury in Dortmund's 3-1 win over Wolfsburg last week and looks set to start up front against Bayern tomorrow.

In total, the 21-yaer-old Norwegian star striker has found the net 71 times in 70 games for 'Die Schwarzgelben'.
