Borussia Dortmund are in talks to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to Sky Germany.

Per the German media outlet, Dortmund and Zakaria are "in very good talks" over a potential transfer, with the two parties in agreement on "certain points".

However, nothing is decided yet, with Zakaria's agent understood to be in talks with multiple clubs from the Premier League as well.

Zakaria is out of contract at the end of the season and has been stalling on a new deal with 'Die Fohlen', who might look to sell the midfielder in January to cash in on him.

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl recently said:

"If he or another player tells us that he wants to leave, we would be stupid not to deal with it. If we keep someone and he gets injured in February, everyone will say, 'Max, how stupid were you?'"
