Borussia Dortmund are planning to hold talks with Erling Haaland and his agent in the near future.

Haaland has a release clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for a fee reported to be between €75-90 million at the end of the season.

A host of European top clubs are said to be ready to trigger that clause, but the 21-year-old still hasn't told Dortmund if he wants to leave or not, according to club CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.

"We'll have a talk in the next few weeks," Watzke told Amazon Prime and added:

"We don't have this in our hands alone. We are a bit dependent on signals coming from him and his agent.

"We have no pressure to negotiate because we don't necessarily have to extend the contract. The question is: will he or won't he pull the clause? We will be anxious not to find out until March or April."

Haaland has racked up 74 goals and 19 assists in 72 games for Dortmund since his transfer to Germany from RB Salzburg in January 2020.
