Report: Frankfurt prepare concrete offer for HSV's Faride Alidou

In the race to snatch up Hamburger SV prospect Faride Alidou, Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Eintracht Frankfurt are leaping ahead of the pack with a concrete offer.
The field of Bundesliga parties interested in signing Hamburger SV prodigy Faride Alidou has reportedly expanded from four clubs to half of the first division. Köln, Hoffenheim, Freiburg, and Union Berlin now apparently join the original quartet interested in retaining the 20-year-old winger's services. This is according to Germany's main sporting tabloid, Sport Bild.

The country's biggest "Boulevard-Blatt" also reports that Eintracht Frankfurt have approached the larger of Hamburg's 2. Bundesliga clubs (though not the currently most successful in sporting terms) with a concrete offer. The SGE wish to sign the German-Togolese attacker during the January transfer window and are offering a €900,000 annual base salary with added performance bonuses.

The HSV obviously don't wish to lose the scorer of two league goals and provider of three assists during a season in which they hope to make their own promotion push. Eintracht will thus sign the youngster to their own contract, then promptly loan him back to the HSV for the duration of the season. Such a deal, common enough in football, simply requires both parties to agree to the stipulation.

Sport Bild does not report that there has been any contact between the two parties yet. The arrangement would nevertheless serve as a win-win for "Der Dino". The HSV could pocket a transfer fee for a player sure to depart on a free this summer whilst also ensuring that he remains with the team for the "Rück-runde".

Hamburg's larger football club have been unable to achieve promotion back to the top flight following their historic first-ever relegation from the Bundesliga after the 2017/18 campaign. While "Der Dino" languishes in the third division for the fourth straight season, crosstown rivals FC St. Pauli are this year's guaranteed "Herbstmeister" of the 2. Bundesliga.
