Brandt rues missed chances after Dortmund's draw with Bochum

Julian Brandt rued missed chances after Borussia Dortmund and Vfl Bochum shared the spoils.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt bemoaned his side's lack of effectivity in front of goal following Saturday's 1-1 draw with VfL Bochum.

"We had enough chances to win the match. But if we don't ultimately take those chances, then we will only draw 1-1," said Brandt, who scored the equaliser for Dortmund after coming on in the second half.

"It's not solely bad luck. In the end we have to also want to score the goal at all costs. If we go for the ball with more conviction, then that will happen.

"We had two or three good chances in the first half. If we had consistently taken our chances, then I am convinced that we'd have won the game today too."

The result means second-placed Dortmund are six points behind league leaders Bayern München at the top of the table.
