Report: Bayern midfielder turns down Barcelona approach

Marc Roca has rejected an approach from FC Barcelona, per a report from tz.
Bayern München midfielder Marc Roca has turned down interest from FC Barcelona, according to tz.

Per the Munich-based tabloid, the La Liga giants recently inquired about the 25-year-old defensive midfielder's availability. Roca, however, feels good at Bayern and wants to stay for the time being.

With Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso and Marcel Sabitzer ruled out, Roca started Bayern's last two games before the winter break.

Speaking after the first of those games – Bayern's 5-0 win over Stuttgart – Roca was praised by head coach Julian Nagelsmann.

"I'm self-critical enough to say that he showed me today that it was a mistake to give him so little playing time," Nagelsmann admitted.

In total, Roca has featured five times for Bayern this season.
