Confirmed: Zakaria to leave Gladbach
Denis Zakaria has told Gladbach that he will not be extending his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have announced that Denis Zakaria is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
In a statement on Gladbach's website, it's confirmed that Zakaria has told the club he wants to leave in the summer.
The news comes just a day after Matthias Ginter declared on Instagram that he will depart the club at the end of the season.
"We now know who can be part of our plans for next season and who can't," commented Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl.
Like Ginter and Zakaria, Patrick Herrmann is out of contract at the end of the season, but he could still sign a new deal.
"We are in good talks with him," said Eberl.
