Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano currently reports that American attacking phenom is on his way to Bavaria for a medical ahead of joining a Bundesliga club.
In a big surprise, the teenager's new German footballing home is not the Bavarian club some were anticipating.
According to Fabrizio Romano, FC Dallas striking prodigy Ricardo Pepi is on his way to Augsburg for a medical. Evidently, the €10 VfL Wolfsburg had set aside to complete the youngster's transfer couldn't compete with a reported €20 million plus bonuses that German's Fuggerstädter have offered.
German giants FC Bayern München were also linked with the 18-year-old. As per Romano, Pepi's stay in the Bavarian capital will be brief. The final destination of Pepi shall be the Swabian section of the state.
If this information proves true, the teenager would constitute a record transfer for the FCA. Pepi would also smash the record paid by a Bundesliga club for an MLS player.
