Some six months after being re-signed to a long term deal by his parent club, Fabrice Hartmann shall return to the German Red Bulls for the second half of the season. Loan club SC Paderborn 07 found sparse usage for the former German youth star. The 20-year-old, who was supposed to remain in East Westphalia on a two-year-long loan, will instead find himself in the RB professional squad 18 months early.

"In our constellation, he simply didn't fit," SCP sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth noted when speaking to the NRW newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, "and competitive practice remains important for a player of his age."

Despite making just two relief appearances for the 2. Bundesliga side this season, Leipzig noted that Hartmann will train with the Leipzig professional squad for the time being. The young winger did register eight tallies for German youth levels U17 and below before suffering a nasty ACL nearly two years ago.
