Weghorst hints at desire to leave Wolfsburg

Wout Weghorst has hinted that he's looking to leave Wolfsburg.
VfL Wolfsburg forward Wout Weghorst has hinted that he wants to take the next in his career.

Explaining why he recently changed his agency, the 29-year-old told Kicker:

"I brought Volker [Struth] and Sascha [Breese] into my team because maybe they can help me achieve my dream. In the end, I want to say that I tried to get the maximum out of [my career].

"There are so many nice things or clubs. I would like to win a prize one day."

Sport Bild has reported that both Weghorst and Wolfsburg are working on a transfer this month. However, the 29-year-old insists he's focused on the upcoming tasks with 'Die Wölfe'.

"My full focus is on playing a good second half of the season here. I still feel very comfortable at VfL, even though the first half of the season was frustrating for me," explained Weghorst.

"I can fulfill my dreams here, too," added the forward, who is under contract until 2023.

"But I haven't heard from the club yet that they want me to sign a contract extension."
