Leipzig not planning to send Moriba out on loan

There are no plans to send Ilaix Moriba out on loan this month, insists RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff.
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has stated that Ilaix Moriba is not expected to leave the club this month.

Moriba has been limited to just 100 minutes of football following his summer switch from Barcelona, and reports have claimed he's looking to find more playing time elsewhere.

Mintzlaff, however, insists there are no plans to offload the 18-year-old midfielder, who will represent Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations this month.

"When Ilaix returns from the Africa Cup of Nations, the coaching team will work intensively with him," he told Leipziger Volkszeitung.

"Even if some media outlets see it differently, our assessment of Ilaix, even after six months, is still that the boy has huge potential and is one of the best in his position in his year group.

"Incidentally, Tottenham were not the only club, who wanted him, and who offered him more money than we did. From the first time he made contact, he only wanted to join us."
