L'Equipe Report: Leipzig prepared to spend €20-25 million for Angers teenager

France's preeminent sporting publication reports that negotiations were conducted in Paris yesterday between RB Leipzig and SCO Angers for the possible transfer of 17-year-old forward Mohamed Ali-Cho.
According to L'Equipe, Germany's Red Bull affiliate is prepared to fork over a hefty sum for the services of former Everton and PSG youth academy product Mohamed Ali-Cho. The 17-year-old France U21 international has scored two goals in his debut Ligue 1 season, pushing his estimated market value up above €12 million.

The French publication reports that RB Leipzig are willing to pay a significantly higher sum, possibly in the €20 to €25 million range. This would place Ali-Cho's fee close to the range Angers sold Jeff Reine-Adélaïde for in 2018.

Leipzig have cracked the €20 million transfer four times in the past two years. Dominik Szoboszlai, André Silva, Dani Olmo, and Alexander Sørloth were all acquired for €20 million or above. The German Red Bulls also paid €16 million for Barça youth Ilaix Moriba this past autumn.
