Wolfsburg linked with U.S. youngster

Wolfsburg are being linked with a move for U.S. teenager Kevin Paredes, who plays for D.C. United.
Multiple reports claim VfL Wolfsburg have targeted 18-year-old American youngster Kevin Paredes from D.C. United.

Bild sets the price at €5-7 million while U.S. journalist Kristian Dyer suggests a price range of €7-8 million.

However, according to Wolfsburger Allgemeine, a fee of €4-5 million should be enough to prize Paredes away from his club.

Per the local newspaper, the two clubs are still far apart in their valuation, but Wolfsburg are willing to be patient and don't feel under pressure to sign Paredes this month.

Capable of playing anywhere on the left, Paredes has made 41 appearances in the MLS, racking up three goals and four assists.

Wolfsburg missed out on another American starlet earlier this month as Ricardo Pepi chose to join Augsburg instead, completing a record-breaking €16.36 million transfer to the WWK Arena.
