In an article appearing on Kicker's website, Journalist Steffen Rohr also provides updates on other transfer rumors surrounding "die Alte Dame".
According to Rohr, Lee is due in Berlin on Saturday. The Charlottenburgers will secure his services for approximately €900,000. Since moving to Ulsan to Busan IPark one year ago, the attacker has had quite the prolific season. He's scored 12 goals across all competitions in K League 1.
Rohr also notes that Fredi Bobic and the Hertha administrative team are far from finished with their incoming January transfers. After completing the Marc Oliver Kempf deal for about €500,000 on Tuesday and having already acquired Norwegian left-back Frederik André Bjørkan on a free, Rohr claims that the reported upon Kelian Nsona deal is about to wrapped up as well.
Nsona, still rehabbing after an ACL tear, will obviously be a signing for next season even if he technically arrives in the next few days. Rohr has more to say on who might be arriving to make an immediate impact. Thus far, the Kicker journalist is the most reputable by far to state that Leverkusen are actively attempting to get Sardar Azmoun's transfer over the line early. This could mean that Lucas Alario will be playing for Hertha very soon.
With all of this going on, Hertha management may not have enough time left to shore up what many consider their most pressing positional need. The club could use a new right-back, where only Lukas Klünter and 35-year-old Peter Pekarik currently fill the position. For the time being, it appears as if these other deals take priority.
