Report: Kruse's Wolfsburg contract includes an extension clause
Kicker claims there is an extension clause in Max Kruse's Wolfsburg contract.
Towards the end of the January transfer window, Max Kruse re-joined his former club VfL Wolfsburg from Union Berlin on a contract until 2023.
Kicker now reports that the contract will be automatically extended by a further season if Kruse makes 25 appearances for Wolfsburg next season because of a clause.
According to reports, Wolfsburg triggered a €5 million release clause in Kruse's contract to sign him.
The 33-year-old has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 23 games for Union this season.
