Report: RB Leipzig target three Bundesliga defenders

Sport Bild reports that Marton Dardai (Hertha) and Ridle Baku (Wolfsburg) have attracted interest from RB Leipzig. In addition, 'Die Roten Bullen' remain keen on Baku's teammate Maxence Lacroix.
RB Leipzig have targeted Hertha BSC's Marton Dardai and Wolfsburg duo Maxence Lacroix and Ridle Baku as they look to bring in defensive reinforcements during the summer transfer window, according to Sport Bild.

Nordi Mukiele and Marcel Halstenberg are considered likely to leave Leipzig in the summer, and Baku and Dardai have reportedly been selected as potential candidates to replace them.

Baku, who is capable of playing as a right-back and as a right midfielder, has taken a big leap forward since his move from Mainz to Wolfsburg in 2020, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists in 64 games.

The 23-year-old was handed his first call-up to the German national team in November 2020 and has gone on to feature a four times for 'Die Mannschaft' side so far.

Meanwhile, Dardai has has featured 21 times in Hertha's central defence at the age of 20 since coming through the youth ranks at the German capital club.

However, Dardai might only be considered if Leipzig don't manage to sign Baku's teammate Maxence Lacroix.

'Die Roten Bullen' were heavily linked with a move for the 21-year-old Wolfsburg centre-back last summer, and he has stayed on their radar after the two clubs were unable to agree on a transfer fee at the time.
