Confirmed: Haaland and Akanji sidelined against Gladbach, Meunier a huge doubt

Borussia Dortmund will once again have to manage without Erling Haaland when they lock horns with Gladbach tomorow. Manuel Akanji will also miss out.
Erling Haaland and Manuel Akanji have been ruled out of Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga encounter with Borussia Mönchengladbach tomorrow.

Haaland remains sidelined due to the muscular problems that have kept him out of Dortmund's last three games while Akanji is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a muscle tear.

Thomas Meunier is yet to return to team training and is therefore a big doubt, but Marius Wolf could be available.

"Erling Haaland is not an option for the game against Gladbach, but Marius Wolf might be," said Dortmund coach Marco Rose at a press conference today.

"Manuel Akanji is out for about three weeks with a muscle fiber tear in his calf. Thomas Meunier is not yet back in team training," he added.
