Report: Frimpong attracts interest from Bayern

Sport1 claims that Bayern München are looking at Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong is understood to have attracted interest from Bayern München.

Bayern are in the market for a new right-back as Bouna Sarr has fallen below expectations and Benjamin Pavard is preferred in central defense.

According to Sport1, Frimpong has now emerged as a candidate alongside Wolfsburg's Ridle Baku and FC Barcelona's Sergio Dest among others.

Frimpong's price could be a potential stumbling block, though, with Leverkusen likely to demand at least €30 million for the 21-year-old, per Sport1.

The report further claims that Bayern are not the only interested club, with Borussia Dortmund and clubs from England and Spain also understood to be keeping tabs on the highly-rated right-back, who is still under contract until 2025.

Frimpong and Leverkusen will lock horns with Bayern München in the Bundesliga this Saturday.
