Bayer Leverkusen suffered a huge injury blow in Sunday's 0-1 defeat against FC Köln as their 18-year-old wonderkid Florian Wirtz tore his ACL.

Before sustaining the injury, Wirtz emerged as a key player at BayArena, and Leverkusen want to hold on to their prized asset for as long as possible, with Sport Bild reporting that 'Die Werkself' intend to keep him until 2024.

Until then, Leverkusen would not be prepared to talk about anything less than a €150 million transfer fee, per the report.

Wirtz has scored 19 goals and provided 22 assists in 78 games for Leverkusen since making his debut in May 2020.
