Jonas Wind: "It has gone beyond all expectations"

VfL Wolfsburg striker Jonas Wind has admitted he's surprised by the amount of playing time he has been getting following his move to Germany in January.
Jonas Wind has hit the ground running at VfL Wolfsburg, starting all seven games since his January switch from Danish Superliga outfit FC Copenhagen.

The 23-year-old Danish international, who has found the net two times so far, couldn't have imagined a better start to life in Germany.

"I'm a little surprised at how fast things have gone. Of course I made the move to play football, but I didn't see it coming that I would be starting every game," he is quoted as saying by Danish news agency Ritzau.

"I had imagined getting a few substitute appearances and then playing my way into the starting line-up that way. It has gone quickly and beyond all expectations, and I can't complain about that. I couldn't have hoped to get off to a better start.

"When you keep starting, you're doing something right, and we have done well as a team."

Even though Wind has adapted quickly to his new surroundings, he can feel that the Bundesliga is a step up.

"The biggest difference - without belittling FC Copenhagen - has been the quality of the squad and the intensity in training. It's a step up, and of course it should be when you go from the Superliga to the Bundesliga. There is great quality all around," admitted the striker.
