Joelinton: Firmino is a role model for me
Hoffenheim's Joelinton reveals he looks up to one of the club's former players - Liverpool star Roberto Firmino.
From 2011 to 2015, Roberto Firmino made 153 appearances and scored 49 goals for Hoffenheim before making the move to Liverpool.
Now, there's a new Brazilian striker at Hoffenheim - 22-year-old Joelinton - and he hopes to follow in his compatriot's footsteps.
"He (Firmino) is a role model for me. He plays in England and in the national team. He's a great player. For me, the Premier League is the best league in the world. I would like to play there eventually," Joelinton told Sport Bild and added that he dreams of playing for the Brazilian national team:
"I will do everything to be called up at some point. If I become a national team player someday, then I'll be a great player."
Joelinton spent two years on loan at Rapid Wien before returning to Hoffenheim prior to this season. So far, he has made 15 appearances for the club this term with eight goals and five assists to his name.
